Tiwonge Hango to perform at Khumbo’s wedding tomorrow

Mzuzu-based Afro-jazz artist Tiwonge Hango will tomorrow spice his brother Khumbo’s wedding with a live music performance.

Khumbo is marrying Yvonne scheduled at Mzuzu Golf Club.

The Thyola and Mkazi wa Chimudzi artist said being his only brother, he feels Khumbo’s wedding will be the best occasion to exhibit his first live performance this year.

“Apart from being my only brother he also manages my band Tikhu Vibrations. He has been key to my success and I feel I should celebrate with him,” Tiwonge told Chill.

Khumbo is known for his album Love and Money with the hit song Ngwada released 2008.

The siblings were part of the Tikhu Vibrations Band which won the inaugural of Music Crossroads competition in 2003.

The triumph enabled the band to tour Europe the following year where they performed at 50 shows.

On his part, Khumbo said he is looking forward to the wedding.

“I feel time has come to marry, I know that marriage is a platform which allows God’s favour to come your way. God always blesses marriages. On a simple analysis, you will realise that married artists are the ones who are doing better in their careers,” said Khumbo.

The artist said being a youth, he wants to set a good example.
